EMFC Annual Picnic
EMFC will be hosting its 3rd annual 'Summer Picnic' on July 16th at the Alton Baker Park picnic shelters.
The Annual Picnic is a great place to gather as a whole soccer club, not just individual teams. EMFC will provide two large propane Bar-B-Q's for everyones use, what you decide to put on the Bar-B-Q is up to you. The picnic will begin once the kids return from the team runs that Jurgen (EMFC DOC) has scheduled for that afternoon beginning at 4:30.
So, bring your family, your food and plenty of ammo for the massive water fight that usually breaks out and be prepared to enjoy an evening with YOUR soccer club.

EMFC will be hosting Summer Soccer Camps for kids and young adults of all ages.
- Little Metros Summer Camp - July 20-24
- Summer Speed Camp - July 27, 28 & 29
- Summer Goal Keeper Camp - July 27, 28 & 29
- Summer High School Camp - Aug 10-12

EMFC Saturday Pick-Up Games
Starting this Saturday, June 20th, EMFC will again facilitate the culture of pick up games. We will start this Saturday morning at Spencer Butte MS. All players are encouraged to come out, warm up, and then play in randomly assigned mixed age and gender teams. The idea is to foster an environment in which playing the game becomes important. In those games, players can tryout moves, play with different players (younger and older) and just have fun playing the game.
From 8-9:30 all U10s - U12 players can come and play. We will have at least one or two coaches there to divide the players up into small teams and then just play.
From 9:30-11 all U13s-U16s can come and play.
The pick up games will also happen on the following dates:
- Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Spencer Butte MS.
- Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Spencer Butte MS
- Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Spencer Butte MS
- Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Spencer Butte MS
Bring some energy and fun to the games and start the weekend off with some nice soccer.

MLS Team coming to Portland in 2011
Exciting news for the soccer community in Oregon, the Portland Timbers will become a MLS team in 2011 joining the Seattle Sounders and the Vancouver Whitecaps in an exciting Northwest rivalry competition. Learn more about this exciting new development and how to secure tickets for the MLS league.
